IMPLEMENTATION OF DISTRIBUTION OF ZAKAT FUNDS TOWARDS POVERTY ALLEVIATION IN THE KARANGANYAR REGION.

• Achoimre:   This study aims to examine the implementation of the distribution of zakat funds towards alleviating poverty in the Karangnyar Regency area, so that the researchers focus on two aspects, firstly how zakat funds are managed by zakat amil in Karanganyar, secondly whether there are changes in the households of mustahiq before and after receiving zakat. This study uses a qualitative approach which tends to be descriptive using process analysis and subjective perspective meaning, the theoretical basis is used as a guide so that the focus of this research is more focused on the field. The results of the first study show that zakat distribution at BAZNAS Karanganyar was carried out in two ways, namely collection and monitoring. BAZNAS has the initiative to collect directly or indirectly from mustahiq in Karanganyar, and monitor mustahiq who have received zakat so that the zakat distributed can be maximized well. Secondly, efforts by BAZNAS Karanganyar to channel business capital for the Mustahiq in Karanganyar to help improve the economy of the people in Karanganyar Regency, so that the mustahiq get a very significant change in income because the mustahiq can now generate their own income. There are differences between the mustahiq between before and after receiving zakat.
