Summary:The object of the research is the film entitled King Arthur by Antonie Fuqua’s. The study gives focus on Arthur’s Conflicts of Interest as reflected in the major character of King Arthur viewed from psychoanalytic perspective. The aim of the study is exploring the conflicts of interest may influence one’s identification of self-identity that is reflected in Arthur’s personality. The study belongs to a qualitative study. In this research, the researcher uses two data sources namely primary and secondary data. The primary data source and object of study is the film King Arthur itself. Meanwhile the secondary ones are any literature related with the study. The technique of data analysis in this study is descriptive method. The result of the study shows the following two conclusions. Firstly, based on the structural analysis, the theme of King Arthur is “Conflicts of interest may influence one’s identification of self-identity.” It can be seen in King Arthur, conflicts of interest causes Arthur has conflicts about his identification of self-identity between Rome and Britain’s interest. Secondly, based on the psychoanalytic analysis, this movie represents a psychological phenomenon in which id and superego are in conflict which results in the subject’s confusion
