• Yhteenveto: The objectives of the study are (1) to describe the characteristics of organization board of production unit in SMK Negeri 4 Madiun, (2) to describe the characteristics of work relationship of production unit in SMK Negeri 4 Madiun, and (3) to describe the characteristics of reporting of production unit in SMK Negeri 4 Madiun. The study was conducted in SMK Negeri 4 Madiun East Java. It is qualitative research. The techniques of collecting data are in depth interview and document. The design of the research is ethnography. It describes and interprets social group culture or certain system in a society. Informants are selected by considering their post, function, duty, and responsibility for the production unit and any other relevant information. The data collected are checked the validity through triangulation, analyzed through data reduction, data display, discussion, and drawing conclusion. The result of the study shows that (1) the characteristics of organization board of production unit in SMK Negeri 4 Madiun, consists of general manager, manager, secretary, treasure, and chief of production subunit; (2) the characteristics of work relationship of production unit in SMK Negeri 4 Madiun, has not had clear work mehanism, internal coordination has been performed, external coordination has been performed with enterprise and manufacturer, which has been build cooperation with school; (3) the characteristic of production unit reporting in SMK Negeri 4 Madiun is that the reporting is performed each three months by the chief of production subunit to the manager, and annually by the chief of production subunit to manager and continued to the general manager.
